Michael Jackson was a prominent popular figure because of his dance music and fashion. He was the King of Pop. In initial stage, he started his career with his brothers. In 1964, he started his solo career. He was the commercially successful entertainer of all the time, his 1982 album Thriller is remains always the best selling album and also Bad, Dangerous, History are the best selling albums. He was born on August 29, 1958 and died on June 25, 2009.

After his death that first report came from the TMZ.com, a Loss Angel based celebrity’s website. The Loss Angel Times Website confirmed the death of Michael Jackson at 2:51 p.m on June 25. The News quickly spread to the on line, overall web traffic ranged from 11 percent at least 20 percent greater than normal. After his death Internet, traffic reached unprecedented level. He had scheduled to perform This Is It concert at London, but with out performing that concert he died.

Barack Obama was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize

The Norwegian committee has announced that Obama had won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. On Oct 9, 2009, he won this award. This prize was awarded to Obama because of his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international Diplomacy and Cooperation among peoples. Obama is the fourth US president to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Nobel Prize committee highlighted his efforts to promote nonproliferation particularly in Iran. Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. The award was surprise too many including Obama also. The award drew a mixture of praise and criticisms from world leaders and media figures. The Nobel committee recognized Obama’s efforts to solve complex global problems. Obama is also working towards a world free of nuclear weapons. Obama captured the world’s attention. This year’s Peace Prize nominees included 172 people. The Nobel recipient receives a prize of about $1.4 million. Obama plans to donate that money to charity.

Barack Obama is the 44th president and Current president of the USA. He was born on August 4 1961, His political career started in the year 1966, and he elected as a Illinois senate in 1966. Obama elected as a US senator On January 4, 2005; He was the fifth African American as a US senator. He became a president on Jan 20, 2009. He is the first African-American president of United States.

Obama was addressed the nation for the first time as a Senator of the USA. More than 200 years of history this will never happen in USA that the African –American as a US president. Barack Obama proved the power of democracy. Obama signed his first bill in to law; The Lilly Ledbetter Fair pay act of 2009. He also got the Nobel Peace prize in 2009. Obama is the third US president gets the Nobel Peace prize.

LCROSS launched by NASA

Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) is a NASA robotic space aircraft. Currently it is Orbiting the Moon. LRO is future manned missions to the moon by NASA. After detail mapping of the Moon, It will identify safe landing sites, locate potential resources on the moon. This orbiter will make a 3-D map of the Moon’s surface. Moreover, it provided some of the first images of the Apollo equipment left on the Moon. LRO launched on 18 June 2009 with conjugation of Lunar Crater Observation and sensing satellite (LCROSS).

This is the first United States mission to the moon in over ten years. LRO and LCROSS are the first missions launched as part of the united state’s vision for Space Exploration Programme. The LCROSS carried Spectrometers, near-infrared cameras, a visible camera, and a visible radiometer. Previous missions have revealed trace amount water on lunar soil. LCROSS mission seeks a definite answer for the question of how much water is present.

Iran launched Omid Satellite

Iran launched Omid satellite. It is a first domestically made satellite in to space and will return to earth after orbiting for three months. It was launched on Feb 3, 2009. Iran launched first commercial satellite in 2005. Iran hopes to launch three more satellites by 2010. Omid (Hope) is a research and telecom satellite. Omid was equipped with experimental satellite control devise and power supply system. Moreover, it designed for gathering information and testing equipment.

The launch of Omid satellite was clearly timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Iranian revolution. Mr. Mottak said, “Iran’s satellite technology is for purely peaceful purposes and to meet the needs of the country. It was key step for Iran’s ambitious programme. The world powers worried because the same rocket technology used to launch satellite can also deliver warheads. Many agreed that Iron had achieved a milestone. Only ten other countries have successfully launched satellites in to Orbit.
